You are looking at one of the rare high fidelity THX Ultra stereo power amplifiers meticulously designed by highly respected audio engineer John Curl: Parasound HCA-1500A Ultimate High Fidelity High Current Stereo (2-Channel) Power Amplifier - THX Ultra Certified I have owned it since 2003 when I bought it brand new. It is in great condition, since I took care of it. I always used a power conditioner to run it and kept it in an airconditioned environment. The power conditioner supplied it a stable voltage, which has maintained all the internal components in a pristine condition. I have provided pictures of the internals: notice the completely discrete circuit (no integrated circuits), massive capacitors, huge toroidal transformer, mosfets and extra large heat sinks to maintain the ambient temperature within the operating range - no wonder this singing puppy weighs 40 pounds. It comes with power cord and factory-installed 18" rack ears. You can remove them if you are going to put them on a tabletop. PLEASE NOTE: I have 2 such amplifiers and I have listed a quantity of 2. The differences are in the serial number and one of them has RMK-3 mark on the rackmount ears, while the other one does not have.
